General Information

We appreciate your interest Joyce's School of Dog Grooming located in Alpharetta, GA.  Joyce has a stellar reputation after 35 years in the industry.  Dog grooming can be a very rewarding career and the profession is in high demand these days. 

New classes begin every ten weeks throughout the year. Our classes are held Tuesday through Friday, 9:am to 3:00pm.  However, I am flexible and we can accommodate different schedules.  Classes are semi-private so each student gets personal attention to learn skills including hand scissoring.

Joyce has a huge commitment to rescue organizations and dogs used in education are rescue dogs being prepared for adoption to their furever homes.

Classes Are Not Held:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, the week of Thanksgiving, two weeks of Christmas and during all grooming seminars.

We will assist you in every way available to us in job placement. The demand for groomers is high. But, we do not guarantee job placement.


One of the most important lessons in pet grooming is to learn by doing and gaining experience.  The individualized attention in Joyce's semi-private classes you will learn quickly.  All of our instructors are experienced groomers.  They will teach you grooming and share their field experience.  When you graduate, you will be prepared to develop your own client base.
